The Villa Bertelli Foundation will host the presentation of the book "La donazione dimenticata" inside the Winter Garden. The incredible story of the Contini Bonacossi Collection "by Avv. Sandro Pazzi.Sandro Pazzi is the lawyer of the Contini Bonacossi and Papi families, heirs of the senator Count Alessandro Contini Bonacossi. He participated in the negotiations for the donation of works of art from the Contini Bonacossi Collection to the Italian State and assisted the heirs in all subsequent legal proceedings involving the Contini Bonacossi and Papi families.In 2012 Ugo Contini Bonacossi, a few days before his death, asked him to write and document the troubled story of the donation.In the first fifty years of the twentieth century the counts Alessandro and Vittoria Contini Bonacossi created a great luck, initially thanks to the trade of collectible stamps, to become then among the most important antique art dealers of the last century. A life, theirs, spent in contact with the protagonists of world collecting, perpetually traveling between old Europe and the young America of patrons and industrialists. The Contini Bonacossi allocated part of the works of art purchased to their personal collection which, as early as 1939, was considered priceless, being composed of marvelous paintings and sculptures, as well as countless and extraordinary minor art objects. The decision to donate this precious collection to the State gave rise to one of the most controversial and troubled events of Italian collecting, which is finally told in these pages by those who witnessed it. An exciting and documented story of the events and people who transformed the most important 20th century donation of works of art to the Italian State in a scandal that lasted half a century, and which still continues to arouse interest.

Friday 1 December 2017, inside the museum of the Marineria Alberto Gianni of Viareggio was inaugurated the new solo exhibition of the photographer viareggino Iacopo Giannini entitled "La Tonnara di Favignana, places, people and traditions". There are 30 photographs that make up the exhibition. They tell what is the centerpiece for an island characterized by the bond that its natives have with the sea and fishing. Many articles have been reproduced by ourselves, concerning, in this regard, the mattanza and the value of the ritual that still takes place in the small large island. The Calendar of the Roman Tommaso Cascella is a very original installation of 365 paintings and collages of 22 × 22 cm: a sort of perpetual calendar in which every day of the year is linked to a memory, an evocation. In the Park of the La Taverna Restaurant, in via delle Camelie 14 in Lido di Camaiore, an appointment not to be missed with the exhibition with over 800 cribs from different parts of the world and Italy, and the Great Mechanical Crib, an area of 60 square meters, built in a popular style, accompanied by simulation of the day's phases, special effects such as a storm with real rain effect, appearance of angels, moon and comet without forgetting the more than 60 moving characters, rivers and fountains where water really flows.The crib was born in 1986 as a traditional static crib and was created by the owner of La Taverna restaurant, Brunella Moriconi, year after year it has been enriched with new scenographies increasing surface to reach the current 60 square meters. In 1998 the crib passed from a static crib to a mechanical crib, thanks to the son of the idea designer Marco Gaspari.
